Watercolour

Watercolours are exciting! I use charcoal or conte crayon on top as I enjoy the effect. My illustrations are all done in this medium and it is a classic 'Sarah Orchard' style....

Oil and Acrylic

I currently tutor Oil and Acrylic classes in Lymington for Brockenhurst College and from this have found that my love for oils has increased. There is an impressionist dying to come out ...this is a selection.

Pastel

Pastels have always been a love of mine, mainly the reason that I enjoy my art so much. I used to do large canvases at college but do, sadly, find them too messy for home! Just to look at my boxes of them makes my fingers itch...

Limited Palette Series

These are my most recent work in oils, using a limited palette which I enjoyed thoroughly!
I have stuck to a basic palette of five pigments and three to be added for certain types of subject matter.

Monochrome

I believe that drawing is the bases of all art and my best skill. I thoroughly enjoy charcoal, pen and pencil - I have added some of my work to this gallery.
